Bram Beelaert, curator of the Red Star Line Museum in Antwerp, presents the history of the fleet of passenger ships that brought millions to US ports of call. Learn about emigration conditions in Europe and strategies used by those who wanted to relocate to the United States, with a focus on emigration between 1890 and 1924. Following the lecture, a ferry will depart for Ellis Island so you can reflect on the inspiring stories of hope and freedom.
